Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

We could use your great ideas, experience, and talent to help make our chapter stronger.  Below are positions with responsibilities and estimated time commitment where help is needed.

Social Media Chair


•Post information to LinkedIn

•Function as manager of Chapter LinkedIn page

•Help bolster viewership of Chapter page

•May invite others to the committee to discuss and help execute social media plan


Time commitment:  Avg.1-3 hour/month


Webmaster/Newsletter Chair


•Send email communications

•Keep website updated

•Create newsletter


Time commitment:  Avg.1-3 hours/month

I-Day Committee Members


Assists Vice President with all tasks necessary for I-Day event before and on day of the event


Time commitment:  Avg. 1-2 hours/month (Sept-Nov)

Public Relations Chair


Responsible for attending events, taking photos, writing for the quarterly newsletter

•Submit event articles/photos to National publication


Time commitment:  Avg. 1 hour/month

Good Works Chair


Create a committee to explore and coordinate two good works events each year for the chapter

Time commitment:  Avg. 1 hour/month

Recruitment/Development Chair


Create a committee of members to develop goals for recruitment and development  of chapter members

For each major carrier, obtain the name(s) and contact information for the person responsible for reimbursement of insurance classes/seminars/meeting

•Develop a survey to determine what incentives the carriers provide to their employees

•Be the liaison for candidate members and professionals in pursuit of their CPCU designation


Time commitment:  Avg. 2-3hours/month

Program Committee Members


Brainstorm with Program Chair on Chapter event offerings

•Create flyers for each event

•Work with social media chair and public relations chair to advertise the event

•Attend the events for check in of guests


Time commitment:  Avg. 2 hours/month

Membership Chair


•Create a committee to monitor paid membership percentages including new designee conversion rates and set percentage goals

•Brainstorm and execute a plan to contact lapsed members or non-renewed members to encourage increased paid membership percentages


Time commitment:  Avg. 1-2 hours/month
